Textile Light 2017 China Textile Industry Association Science and Technology Award Review Meeting Held in Changshu, Jiangsu Province. The meeting was organized by the Science and Technology Award Office of China Textile Industry Association. Li Lingshen, Vice President of China Textile Industry Association, Peng Yanli, Director of Science and Technology Development Department of China Textile Industry Association, and Ye Zhimin, Deputy Director of Textile Light Science and Technology Education Foundation attended the meeting. The evaluation team, composed of academicians Sun Jinliang, Yao Mu, Jiang Shicheng and Yu Jianyong from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, gathered nearly 50 good judges from universities, research institutes, enterprises and trade associations across the country. It is understood that since the application of textile science and technology award was started in March this year, 146 items have been accepted as of June 15, and 139 items have met the application requirements after formal examination. After online evaluation, 121 items entered this year's review meeting. According to their professional distribution, they are divided into four major groups: textile, chemical fiber industry, dyeing and finishing, mechanical automation, and seven professional groups: textile 1, textile 2, chemical fiber, industrial use, dyeing and finishing, machinery, automation and instruments. After an open, fair and impartial review, 94 items were initially recommended for award, 12 of which were the first prize. 38 second prize; 44 third prize. All the winners of the first, second and third prizes recommended for this year's science and technology awards will be announced in the near future.
